A BABY boy was taken to hospital after a petrol bomb was thrown at a house in Mayfield.

The infant was taken to hospital as a precaution after the incident at a house in Liffey Park at around 10.20pm last night.

Nobody was injured in the attack and the baby was discharged this morning.

Gardaí are investigating if there is a link to a previous incident in the estate.

A garda spokesman said this morning that house to house enquiries are taking place in the area today.

No arrests have been made.
