Cork woman remains in hospital following Christmas stabbing

A WOMAN stabbed at a house in Montenotte two days before Christmas remains in hospital.

The woman was critically ill immediately after the stabbing on December 23 at a house on Middle Glanmire Road. 

A ten-year-old boy and another woman were also injured in the incident but were discharged from hospital. 

A teenage girl received minor injuries in the incident.

A garda spokesman said the woman will remain in hospital for some time. 

She underwent surgery as a result of her injuries.

A man has been charged with assault causing harm in relation to the incident.
