A yellow wind warning has been issued for Cork, with coastal areas expected to be worst affected.
Met Éireann have issued the warning, which comes into force on Monday morning at 3am, and lasts until 11am.
Southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65 km/h with occasional gusts of 90 to 100 km/h.
The status yellow wind warning is also in place for Wexford and Waterford, while a similar warning is in place for Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Kerry from midnight until 8am on Monday.
While Cork is expected to be cloudy and mainly dry this evening and early tonight, rain is also expected by morning.
