CLANCY'S bar, which has remained closed since 2017 is to reopen its doors at 5pm this evening.
Taking to social media to make the announcment, Clancy's stated:
"After long anticipation we are delighted to finally announce, the doors of Clancys Cork will officially be opened tonight at 5pm.
"Come and have a drink with us."
At the helm of the newly reopened bar is Paul Montgomery and Michael O’Sullivan, who both have extensive experience running bars in the city.
An imminent reopening for the bar looked likely for some time as the establishment was advertising for staff.
The bar, which can be dually accessed from Marlboro Street and Princes Street is one of Cork city's oldest pubs, dating back to 1824.
On Facebook, Corkonians expressed their delight that one of the city's best loved pubs is set to open its doors once again.
