Gardaí issue appeal in relation to missing Cork man
Missing Cork man Cormac Ryan.

Gardaí at Anglesea Street are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Cormac Ryan, 31 years, who has been missing from Cork City since Sunday 9th February 2020.

Family and friends of the man from Midleton have become extremely concerned about Cormac, who has been missing since Sunday night.

Cormac is described as being approximately 5 foot 11 inches in height with a stocky build, brown hair and brown eyes.

The 31-year-old was last seen on Douglas Street in Cork city, at approximately 10:35pm that night.  He was last seen wearing a dark green coat, blue jeans, wine coloured shirt and black shoes with a thick white sole.

His friend Gearóid Collins told The Echo that Cormac had been on a date in a bar on Douglas Street on Sunday evening, while another friend, Rob Carey, had spoken to him following the date when Mr Ryan was on his way to ring for a lift home.

Mr Carey said he tried to contact Cormac on Monday but didn’t hear back.

Cormac’s family also hadn’t heard from him and became concerned.

It was reported to Gardaí on Tuesday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021 4522000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
