Driver with cocaine in his system is clocked doing 180km/h on Cork road

A driver on cocaine was nabbed doing 180km/h on the M8 motorway near Mitchelstown today.
The garda Roads Policing Unit in Fermoy clocked the driver doing 180km/h and chased the car to pull him over the speeding offence.
The driver was then given a roadside test for alcohol or drugs and was found to have cocaine in his system.
It also transpired that the tax on the vehicle had expired six months ago.
In a post on social media, Gardaí said:
"(1) Fermoy RPU detected this BMW travelling at a ridiculous 180KPH on the M8 near Mitchelstown earlier today.
"(2) They soon discovered the tax had expired 6 months ago.
"(3) Driver tested positive for cocaine."
"Driver arrested for drug driving, car seized for no tax and add a little dangerous driving and this driver is going to have an interesting day out in court."
