Woman who died unexpectedly in Riverstick over the weekend named locally

Debbie, as she was known to friends and family, died following a suspected fall and the alarm was raised by her partner around 1pm on Saturday.

The 52-year-old woman who died unexpectedly in Riverstick on Saturday has been named locally as Deborah Connell.

Debbie, as she was known to friends and family, died following a suspected fall and the alarm was raised by her partner around 1pm on Saturday.

Gardaí said following a postmortem a file has been sent to the coroner.

Speaking to The Echo, Chief Superintendent Con Cadogan said the house, which had been sealed off by Gardaí overnight awaiting the results of the post mortem, has been handed back to the family.

Gardaí are not looking for anyone in relation to the incident and foul play has been ruled out.

Deborah, originally from Carrigaline, is sadly missed by her mother Carmel. Her father John Bruce had previously passed away.

Debbie had one sister, Joanna and one brother, John.

She will be reposing at Fordes Funeral Home, Carrigaline from 5.30pm until 6.30pm Her funeral mass will take place at Church of Our Lady and St John, Carrigaline on Thursday at 1.30pm followed by cremation at The Island Crematorium.
