Following the hugely successful first two events, the final evening of UCC’s 'Relevance to You' series is to take place tomorrow evening.
The third evening of the event will feature a diverse range of talks from museums to the future of livestock.
The aim of the series is to showcase the research that is currently being conducted in University College Cork and how it will directly impact our lives.
The event, which takes place this evening from 17:30 – 19:15 in the UCC Centre for Executive Education on Lapp’s Quay will be chaired by Dr Jean van Sinderen-Law, Associate Vice President at UCC.
The four speakers will comprise of Professor Fiona Kearney who will give a talk entitled, 'Museums do it with lights on – learning through seeing', Professor John O’Halloran presenting, 'Dipping dippers: local responses to global challenges', Professor Thia Hennessy who will discuss the future for livestock agriculture and Professor Cian O'Mathuna who will present, 'The future of sensors: Sensing the future'.
After the talks, there will be a facilitated discussion from the audience followed by tea/coffee and networking.
