Following her sold out show at the 3Arena Dublin last weekend, Sigrid has been revealed as the first headline act for Indiependence Festival 2020.
The ground-breaking Norwegian pop star and BBC Sound of 2018 winner, Sigrid's debut albumhas cemented the 22-year-old’s breakthrough year, which has also seen her play incredible jam-packed festival performances at Electric Picnic and Longitude.
This month Sigrid has also released the first new music since her critically acclaimed debut, writing 'Home To You' for the motion picture, starring Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones.
Since winning the BBC Sound of 2018, Sigrid’s unforgettably impassioned live performances have seen a meteoric rise and international success with her defiant, rebellious pop songs.
Sigrid's Spotify following has tripled since the start of the year, with streaming numbers reaching almost 400M globally, highlighting the breadth of Sigrid’s maturing talent and aptitude for song writing.
Indie19 was the Mitchelstown festival’s biggest to date.
Some 15,000 people descended on the picturesque Galtee Mountains site to hear performances from headliners Lewis Capaldi, Biffy Clyro, Catfish & the Bottlemen, and Gavin James.
Hosted at the Deer Farm site on the outskirts of Mitchelstown, Independence has seen both emerging and established artists take to the stage.
Tickets for the 2020 event which will run from July 31 to August 2 are currently on sale, with full price tickets priced at €159.
Early bird tickets are now sold out, but there are some Tier 2 tickets still available (€149)
Indie20 will be a strictly over-18s event and will see the addition of new campsite options to manage the festival space better.
