Two fresh cases of coronavirus in Northern Ireland

THERE have been two new cases of Covid-19 diagnosed in Northern Ireland.

This brings to three the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus now north of the border.

There are currently two confirmed cases in the Republic.

Both of those are in the east of the country.

On Saturday night, the first case, involving a Dublin teenager who had travelled to Northern Italy, was confirmed.

The second confirmed case was announced last night.

Today's fresh cases in Northern Ireland were announced by the NI Department of Health.

This evening, a press briefing is getting underway shortly in Dublin to given an update on Covid-19 in the Republic.
