An unaccompanied learner driver now faces a day in court after Gardaí apprehended the driver trying to avoid a checkpoint outside Fermoy earlier today.
The car was observed turning around from a checkpoint and discovered to have no insurance, motor tax or NCT.
The vehicle was seized by Gardaí who issued a statement saying that the driver will pay the price for breaking the law.
"This car was observed turning around from a checkpoint outside Fermoy earlier today. Bad move.
"The car was stopped shortly afterwards and the driver was an unaccompanied learner with no insurance, motor tax or NCT," Gardaí stated.
"Come rain, hail or snow (and they all did today), you must comply with the law.
"This driver now faces a day in court. Hopefully, the weather for this new pedestrian will improve by then," the statement continued.
