An Post is helping people to keep up to date with reliable and accurate information during the Covid-19 crisis by offering a newspaper delivery service to households nationwide.
The service, which launched last week, provides delivery to customers Monday to Friday.
Once customers have signed-up and arranged payment for their preferred publication, An Post will provide a delivery service for the newspapers.
For Echo readers, the service means that Cork people living anywhere in the country can get their paper delivered.
Speaking about the An Post initiative, Irish Examiner/The Echo group circulation manager, Sean Murphy, said there has been a great response to the newspaper delivery service.
"This partnership with An Post came about because of the challenges of the pandemic, and we are very pleased to now offer newspaper readers access to their preferred newspaper when they want it, delivered safely to their home. It’s a great demonstration of how business can respond in the face of adversity.
"The service is designed to keep newspapers flowing to homes in Cork and around the county.
"It allows readers of the print edition of theand to keep up to date with the news, particularly those who are cocooned in their homes because of the Covid-19 restrictions and unable to get to the shop as frequently as they did.
"In a matter of days since the launch, the new service has been a huge success and is expected to grow quickly to reach more than 2,000 households daily," he said.
