It's set to freeze tomorrow morning, and snow showers are expected.

Met Éireann has announced a snow and ice weather warning for Cork, as well as the rest of the country.

The status yellow snow and ice warning is valid from 6:00am on Tuesday to 09:00am on Wednesday.

The forecast is that there will be wintry showers, mainly of hail and sleet.

These will become increasingly widespread during Tuesday, leading to icy patches. Some snow accumulations will also occur.

Drivers are advised to take care when commuting tomorrow morning and to slow down, as the roads may be icy.

However, there is good weather news for later on in the week, as it is set to be cloudy and dry, mainly from Wednesday morning onwards.
