'Don't be a Langer, Be Kind'; Simple message sparks huge charity campaign

What started as a simple poster campaign on the streets of Cork has turned into a charity t-shirt in aid off Pieta House.
Over recent weeks the MD of Poster Displays Cork, Al Dalton, decided to use some free billboard space to post a simple ‘note to Cork’ with a simple message: "Don’t Be A Langer, Be Kind’.
It was a reference to the recent call online for people to take note of what they are posting on social media.
The poster received quite a lot of attention locally.
Enter popular Cork t-shirt company Hairy Baby.
Known for their witty Irishisms on t-shirts, owner Daragh Murphy contacted Mr. Dalton and posed the question “what about turning the poster into a t-shirt?”.
"Better still," he said. "How about a charity t-shirt”.
The idea was sold.
Upon contacting Pieta House the idea quickly turned to reality and today sees the launch of a range of t-shirts, hoodies and tote bags reminding us ‘Don’t Be A Langer, Be Kind’.
All profits from each sale will be donated to Pieta House.
