Trojan efforts by staff, including those working at the community Covid-19 testing centres in Cork, have led to a situation where all referrals for testing here are now up to date.
The HSE confirmed today that testing had taken place at centres including at Pairc Uí Chaoimh yesterday, while this testing facility is closed today.
“Pairc Uí Chaoimh has provided community testing since last Sunday and has run extremely well, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of our staff,” a spokesperson for the HSE said.
“Testing was taking place in Pairc Uí Chaoimh yesterday.
"We are up-to-date on referrals in the Cork and Kerry area, and will tomorrow offer appointments for any outstanding referrals.”
Meanwhile, the HSE has confirmed that there has been limited testing nationally today as the supply of testing materials has been limited.
“A further order is due in this evening and will be distributed,” a spokesperson said.
