Cork City Road Policing Unit pulled the vehicle over after the motorist was caught speeding and discovered that the car had no valid tax, NCT or insurance.
The motorist in question was displaying discs from another vehicle.
There were also defective wipers on the vehicle, which were attached by cable tie and one of the tyres was worn.
In a statement Gardaí said:
"Cork City RPU stopped this car for speeding on South Ring Road.
"No insurance, NCT or tax. Discs from another car displayed. Worn tyre and wiper held by cable tie. Car seized."
Despite the current pandemic, Gardaí still remain vigilant on Cork roads, stating that it's "business as usual for Cork City RPU".
Last night, at approximately 11pm, Gardaí from Midleton on patrol in Ballycotton observed a car failing to observe a stop sign.
The driver was pulled over by Gardaí and tested positive for the presence of cannabis after a drug test was carried out.
"Strong smell of cannabis coming from car so roadside drug test carried out with positive result.
"Arrested and conveyed to Midleton Garda station where blood sample provided. Court case pending full analysis. Never drive while intoxicated," Gardaí said.
