THREE youths have been arrested following a pursuit which resulted in a car colliding with a bus on the outskirts of Cork city.
The crash happened after the car failed to stop for gardaí on the southside of the city.
It is believed the car was travelling at speed when gardaí tried to stop the vehicle.
Gardaí pursued the vehicle down Airport Hill and on to the South Ring Road, before the car finally clipped off a bus and crashed on the South Douglas Road.
A garda car involved in the pursuit was also damaged during the incident which occurred after 3.15pm.
According to gardaí, the occupants of the car fled the stolen vehicle and gardaí gave chase.
The road was blocked for a time on South Douglas Road.
A garda spokeswoman said the youths were taken to the Bridewell garda station and were processed under the Juvenile Diversion Programme.
