The N40 eastbound has now reopened to traffic.

Gardaí, the ambulance service and three units of the fire brigade are in attendance at the incident, which has blocked traffic travelling eastbound.
Traffic restrictions are in place and fire officers are urging motorists to take care on approach.
There are no reports of serious injuries in the incident, which it is understood involved three vehicles.
