MORE Cork gigs have been rescheduled under the government’s ban on mass gatherings.

Picture This have announced that their Musgrave Park gig on June 25 has been rescheduled and the band will now play Leeside on Friday, June 25 next year.

The band said that it was with a heavy heart that they announce the rescheduling of this year’s concerts but said that under government advice it is the “safest thing to do right now”.

“Very sorry for any inconvenience but it’s the right thing to do, and we all need to keep safe during these crazy times,” the band said on social media.

Dermot Kennedy who was also due to play Musgrave Park’s summer series has announced the rescheduling of his June 26 date at the stadium.

The singer-songwriter will instead take to the stage on June 26, 2021.

In a Tweet he said: “Ireland, I’m afraid all our shows for this June are being rescheduled to June next year. All tickets will remain valid. I’m very sorry we don’t get to play these shows this year, but it’s so necessary, as you all know.” Meanwhile, Live at the Marquee announced that Deadmau5 has been rescheduled for next year also.

The popular DJ will now play the tented venue on Friday, June 18.

Organisers of Live at the Marquee, Aiken Promotions, last week announced that the highlight of Cork’s summer events calendar would be rescheduled until next year and would return to its home on Monahan Road.
