It has been confirmed that there is no change “as of now” to the dates that Westlife are due to play at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
A spokesperson for promoter company MCD Productions confirmed that “as of now there is no change with the Irish dates”.
Westlife are due to travel Leeside and play two dates on August 28th and 29th.
The band today announced the cancellation of three UK gigs which were due to take place in the months of June and July.
In a statement posted to social media, the band said: “We are sorry to hear today that due to the ongoing crisis, Scarborough Open Air Theatre, York Festival and Lytham Festival will not go ahead this year.
“Please refer to the individual venue and festival websites for further details. Fans with tickets will be entitled to a full refund for these cancelled shows.
“We are currently working with our promoters in regards to the other shows we have planned for June and July and we hope to have news in these very soon.
“The safety of our fans and teams is of the utmost importance.”
Páirc Uí Chaoimh is currently being used as a testing centre for Covid-19 and all upcoming matches at the venue have been postponed.
