Man injured in Cork city stabbing

A man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Ballyphehane on the southside of Cork city tonight.
It is understood a dispute arose between a number of men shortly after 9pm on Tuesday at Pearse Square.
One man, who is believed to be in his 20s, was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital (CUH).
His condition is described as being stable.

Gardaí are to undertake door-to-door inquiries in a effort to determine the circumstances which surrounded the incident
The area has been sealed off for technical examination.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact Togher Garda Station in the city.
Gardaí are also asking anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area to contact them.
