There have been multiple collisions reported on Cork city roads this morning, resulting in knock-on traffic delays.
According to AA Roadwatch, there was a collision on the N40 heading westbound at Junction 8 Douglas. The incident has since been cleared, but traffic remains quite busy on approach from Junction 10 Mahon.
There was also a collision on the N25 eastbound between Junction 4 Carrigtwohill and Junction 5 Midleton, but it has been moved onto the hard shoulder.
Harbour View Road in Knocknaheeney near the library next to Courtown Drive remains closed, following a fatal collision last night.
Bus Éireann's route 202, which normally uses this road, is operating via Kilmore Road instead.
Road works and a rolling stop/go system is in place on the N22 south of Macroom near Coolower. This is slowing traffic on approach both ways, but particularly for eastbound traffic.
AA also warn that roads are wet across most of the country this morning, following heavy rainfall.
They are advising drivers to reduce their speed and keep further back from the car in front, as it will take longer to stop on wet roads.
