Staff at the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery have been working hard to keep guests informed and connected during the current pandemic.

In a mission to maintain its strong bond with its guests, the Celtic Ross Hotel has been active on its social media platforms offering cooking films, online workouts and its People of Ross features on local businesses.

Now, the hotel has come up with a way to help guests who were due to marry before the spread of the virus forced the cancellation of their big day.

A Virtual Wedding Fair is being held on Saturday, May 2nd from 2pm where the team will virtually walk guests through the hotel on its Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Zoom accounts, showcasing what the venue has to offer.

Nine local wedding suppliers will be at hand on the day for private consultations which General Manager Neil Grant said many have booked into already.

They will also be going live with the Celtic Ross team on the hotel’s social media platforms to showcase their services.

The virtual fair will adhere to HSE guidelines with essential workers on site and other staff members working from home answering questions from the public.

Wedding and Events Manager at the hotel said that it is “a real step into the unknown” to help people organising a wedding who feel a “bit lost”.

“I have been in the hotel answering the phones and it struck me that many people were engaged and excited to be organising a wedding but they felt a bit lost due to the vital restrictions that are in place,” she said.
