With pubs closed until at least August 10, one West Cork pub has devised a clever way of supporting musicians and entertaining the public whilst in lockdown.
DeBarras in Clonakilty, which has a long-established reputation for providing excellent live music, is now going virtual with 'Sitting Room to Sitting Room Sessions'.
Now in its second month, the gigs are intended to be "the ultimate, intimate lock-in sessions online", showcasing some of the finest Irish talent online, with some guests popping in from overseas along the way too.
This week, the likes of Anja Bakker, John Spillane, Junior Brother and Jordan Run will all perform.
The gigs kick off at 9:30pm every night, and 8pm on Sundays.
"Some of our favourite musicians will be bringing the music from their sitting room to yours.
"They will recreate DeBarras (or a DeBarras vibe) in their own home and perform a gig and we will live stream the performance on our Facebook page," Ray Blackwell from DeBarras said.
