Woman accused of murdering brother in Cork remanded in custody for fortnight

A 52-year-old Cork woman who is accused of murdering her own brother at his home in the city last September was remanded in custody for a fortnight yesterday.

Helen Jones, 52, of 27 Cahergal Avenue, Mayfield, Cork, appeared by video link from prison to Cork District Court and Judge Olann Kelleher remanded her in custody until March 16 on the charge of murdering her brother, Paul Jones, on September 4 at 108 Bandon Road, Cork.

Co-accused, Keith O’Hara, formerly of 27 Cahergal Avenue, Mayfield, Cork, was remanded in custody until March 23 on the same murder charge.
