'Be part of the home team': GAA stars create powerful Covid-19 video
(L-R) Sinéad Goldrick, Brian Cody and Aoife Murray all feature in the video.

Armagh senior football manager Kieran McGeeney, Monaghan forward Conor McManus, recently-retired Cork camogie player Aoife Murray, Kilkenny hurling manager Brian Cody, Wexford hurler Lee Chin, Dublin footballers Sinéad Goldrick and Ciarán Kilkenny and Kerry footballer David Moran all feature in the video.

"This time of the year, we’re usually doing all we can to get the better of each other, to try our best to be on the winning team," Kieran McGeeney states.

"But this year is different," Conor McManus says.

"This year we’re all a part of the one team. We’ve a common opponent that we’ll only overcome together," Cork's Aoife Murray adds.

"The opponent has its strengths, but let’s concentrate on what we can do – on our own game plan," Brian Cody urges.

In the video, the GAA players and managers are pleading with the public to abide by the current government and HSE guidelines to maintain social distancing, keep up proper hygiene standards, look after our physical and mental health and, most importantly, to stay at home.

"We’re all in this together," Ciarán Kilkenny states. "It has never been more important to be part of the home team."
