Neil Diamond shares Cork efforts to keep singing during coronavirus shutdown

One of the best-selling artists of all-time has shared a video of an isolation gig from Cork on Twitter.
Neil Diamond shared the clip of 25-year-old musician Lorcan Geaney, who played a concert for residents at the Elysian over the weekend.
The clip in question shows Geaney singing Neil Diamond’s 1969 hit ‘Sweet Caroline’ which has obviously gone down a treat with the American singer-songwriter.
It also went down well with residents of the apartment block, who were out on their balconies dancing, with their phone torches alight.
Earlier this month, Neil Diamond himself posted a video online where he modified the ‘Sweet Caroline lyrics to say: "...washing hands, don't touch me, I won't touch you…”
It was posted in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
