He didn't present the Late Late Show last Friday, and was self-isolating due to "a persistent cough."
He was subsequently tested for Coronavirus, and RTE have this afternoon confirmed he has tested positive for the virus.
In a statement released by RTE Mr Tubridy he said he looks forward to being back to work very soon.
"Like so many other people in Ireland I tested positive but I was in the very fortunate position to have a very unintrusive experience, which I now have come to the end of," Ryan Tubridy said.
"While I've been at home watching television and listening to the radio, I have been bowled over by the extraordinary work of our frontline heroes and their families who continue to make Ireland a healthier and safer place.
"I look forward to being back to work really soon," he concluded.
Oliver Callan will continue to present his radio show on RTE Radio One, while plans for the Late Late Show will be finalised in the upcoming days.
RTE have said that they will be making no further comment.
