The man in his 50s arrested yesterday in connection with the investigation into the murder of Francis Dunne, has been released without charge.
A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Francis Dunne, whose body was discovered at a derelict house on Boreenmanna Road on December 28, 2019.
Gardaí arrested a man in connection with the investigation this morning.
The man, aged in his 50s, is currently detained at Gurranabraher Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
64-year-old Mr Dunne's dismembered body was found in the grounds of Castlegreina House on Boreenmanna Road.
The popular Churchfield man had been living nearby in supported accommodation by Cork Simon.
