A POST mortem will take place tomorrow morning on a Polish man killed in a motorcycle accident in Cork.
The man, who was living in Ballincollig, died on Wednesday evening in an accident between Begley's Forge and Crossbarry, on the L2218. He was in his 40s.
Gardaí at Bandon are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward and are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) from the area.
Road Safety Authority spokesman Brian Farrell said fatalities have continued on Irish roads in recent months, despite the Covid-19 lockdown.
He said: ''We have not really seen as much of a fall off in accidents as we expected to see during the pandemic. We are concerned that people will not have road safety at the top of their minds from next week when the next phase of restrictions are expected to be lifted.''
He urged drivers to exercise caution on the roads.
