Atlantic Whale & Wildlife Tours, located in Courtmacsharry, took to social media to share the awe-inspiring moment in which the whale leapt from the water in Clonakilty Bay yesterday.
"Well this just happened! A humpback breaching fully out of the water in Clonakilty Bay on this evening's trip from Courtmacsherry," the company wrote on Twitter.
"Thank you Michelle Kincaid for capturing this incredible footage," they added.
Humpbacks, known as the "acrobats of the whale world", are just one species of whale which return to the West Cork coast each summer to feed.
Minke and fin whales are also commonly sighted at this time of year.
In recent weeks, Atlantic Whale & Wildlife Tours have posted a slew of videos to social media showing multiple sightings of whales and dolphins.
"What a week of whale watching from Courtmacsherry.
"With multiple humpback whale sightings, huge numbers of minke whales, a pod of Risso’s dolphins and common dolphins numbering near the thousands, West Cork has once again demonstrated that it is a hot spot it is for marine wildlife," they wrote on June 14.
