127 people waiting for hospital beds: CUH worst affected for second day running

Almost 130 admitted patients are waiting for beds at hospitals around the country this morning with Cork University Hospital (CUH) worst affected for the second day running.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s (INMO) Trolley Watch, 127 admitted patients are waiting for beds at hospitals around the country with 116 waiting in emergency departments, while 11 people are in wards elsewhere in hospitals.

Twenty-three admitted patients are waiting for beds at CUH while nine patients are waiting for beds at the Mercy University Hospital.

All of the patients waiting for beds in Cork are waiting in emergency departments.

There were no patients waiting for beds at Bantry General Hospital.
