Cork weather: Sunny spells likely to return by the end of the week

The national forecaster has stated that the first half of the week will see unsettled conditions but rain could clear up by Friday with sunny conditions expected for the weekend and early next week.

Tomorrow will start out dry in most areas, however, rain in the west could gradually spread to other parts during the day.

Maximum temperatures 13 to 16 degrees with moderate southwesterly winds in most areas.

Tomorrow night it will be cloudy in most areas, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

Wednesday will see further outbreaks of rain and drizzle, with temperatures ranging from about 15 to 19 degrees.

Similar conditions are expected on Thursday.

On Friday Met Éireann have stated that it will be "dry in most areas, with sunny spells".

Current indications for Saturday until Monday suggest that it will be "dry and settled, with a mix of cloud and sunny spells and light winds," Met Éireann continued.
