N20 speed checkpoint catches three drivers more than 30km above the limit

Gardaí in Gurranabraher conducted a speed detection checkpoint on the N20 Cork to Mallow road and caught three drivers exceeding the speeding limit of 100km/h as well as another motorist flouting the rules of the road.
A motorist going 40km over the 100km/h speeding limit on the N20 Cork to Mallow road was one of three drivers caught at a speed checkpoint on Sunday.

The first driver was detected at 140km/h, while another driver was detected at 134km/h and a third driver was stopped for speeding at 130km/h.
While dealing with a speeding incident, Gardaí then observed another vehicle overtaking by crossing over a continued white line on a bend.
This driver was stopped and spoken to in relation to their driving with a summons to follow.
