CORK boy William Kelleher treated his nana, Norah Horgan to a special lunch at the Maldron Hotel today.

The duo, described as the 'best of friends', were separated during the Covid-19 outbreak, but made sure to keep in touch every day via Whatsapp and Facetime calls as well as through the An Post postcards.

Last year, William and Norah hit the headlines after the young boy saved his pocket money to treat his nana to an overnight stay in the hotel for St Patrick’s weekend so that she could enjoy the parade.

At the time, Norah had not made it to the city to see the parade in over a decade.

Donna Mannion, Sales & Marketing Manager at the hotel said: “Willam is a truly remarkable little boy who’s always thinking of others – while we were closed he often called to the door to say Hi or just waved when he was walking by with his new dog Maggie.

“He’s a regular face around the hotel and we all love to see him visiting."
