Cork city burglary: Man jumped counter to steal earbuds

Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in relation to a burglary at a shop on Maylor Street in Cork city.
Shortly after 2.30pm yesterday, a man entered the shop and jumped the counter into a staff area.
He was asked to leave by a staff member and did so after taking a set of earbuds from the shop.
Gardaí from Anglesea Street attended and reviewed the CCTV of the incident.
A description of the man was circulated to all members on duty and a man, aged in his 20s, was arrested later that evening on Hanover Street.
He was detained at Bridewell Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and has since been charged.
He is due to appear before Cork City District Court on July 1, 2020 at 10.30pm.
