Elderly man found in Cork after alarm raised in early hours 

The 77-year-old man was reported missing to gardaí and they sought the assistance of the Cork City Missing Persons Search and Recovery.

AN elderly man was found early today after the alarm was raised in the Glanmire area after 1am.

The 77-year-old man was reported missing to gardaí and they sought the assistance of the Cork City Missing Persons Search and Recovery.

Three search and rescue dogs were also involved in the search, from the Search and Rescue Dogs Association (SARDA).

A spokesperson for the CCMPSR said: "After an exhaustive search rescue dog Murphy and handler Aideen located the missing person at 03.30am and along with members of CCMPSAR assisted the gentleman.

 

"Thankfully the gentleman was attended to by a doctor and was tired but no serious injuries a great result for all who took part in the search."
