Gardaí investigating robbery of three dogs from backyard in Cork

Three dogs have been stolen from a backyard in Cork in a robbery in which the culprit broke down a door to get into the yard.

The robbery took place in Clondrohid near Mallow between the hours of 11.30pm on Monday night and 9.30am on Tuesday morning.

A whippet named Princess and two cream poodles named Fifi and Pearl, who are sisters who have been together since birth, were taken.

The owner of the dogs said that all ferry ports in Ireland and the UK have been notified and that a generous reward will be given if the dogs are found.

A garda spokesperson confirmed that the three dogs locked in sheds were stolen between 11.30pm on Monday and 9.30am on Tuesday.

The spokesperson said that investigations are ongoing.
