More than 130 people are waiting for beds at hospitals around the country today with Cork University Hospital (CUH) worst affected.
According to today’s Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) daily Trolley Watch, 134 admitted patients were waiting for beds this morning: 113 patients were waiting in hospital emergency departments, while 21 were in wards elsewhere in hospitals.
Cork University Hospital is worst affected with 26 patients waiting for beds there.
Nine people are also waiting for beds at the Mercy Hospital, bringing the total number of patients waiting for beds at Cork hospitals to 35.
All of these patients are waiting in the emergency departments at CUH and the Mercy.
No patients are waiting for beds at Bantry General Hospital.
