Moroccan man has become a 'full-time thief' since moving to Cork

The Moroccan man has clocked up 32 theft convictions since he started living in Cork 15 years ago.

A DISTRICT Judge said of a Moroccan man who has clocked up 32 theft convictions since he started living in Cork 15 years ago, “He is a full-time thief.” 

Adil Hajjaj of Westlawn, Wilton, Cork, has just pleaded guilty to his 33rd theft where he stole a handbag at the Oliver Plunkett Bar in Cork on February 17.

Judge Olann Kelleher was told that the accused had a lot of mental health difficulties.

Living in Ireland for the past 15 years, he is married to an Irish woman.

Judge Kelleher imposed a nine-month jail term on Hajjaj for his latest theft.
