Latest: Man brought to hospital following Cork crash 

Emergency services were called to the scene around 4pm today. 

LATEST: A man in his 30’s was taken to Cork University Hospital following a serious road traffic collision on the N28 in Carrigaline close to Janeville today.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 4pm to a single-vehicle RTC involving a truck.

Two units of the Cork County Fire Brigade attended the incident, Crosshaven and Carrigaline.

The services remained at the scene until 8pm and the road was blocked off in both directions while the clean up was being carried out.

EARLIER: A serious road traffic collision has occurred on the Cork Road in Carrigaline, close to Janeville.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 4pm today.

The services remained at the scene until 8pm and the road was blocked off in both directions while the clean up was being carried out.

It is not yet known if there were any casualties from the crash or how many cars were involved.
