A man accused of carrying out a Christmas Eve robbery at a beauty salon appeared at Cork District Court yesterday.

Detective Garda Patrick O’Sullivan charged Peter Mullins, of Blair’s Hill, Shanakiel, Cork, with a robbery that dates back December 24 2018 at Beauty at the Rock, Deanrock, Togher, Cork, where it is alleged that he robbed €400.

Mullins made no reply to the charge against him and there was no state objection to the accused being remanded on bail on the charge.

Conditions require him to sign on three days a week at Gurranabraher garda station and to abstain from intoxicants.

Shane Collins-Daly solicitor said there was no objection to those conditions. Judge Olann Kelleher adjourned the case until July 1 to allow time for preparation of a book of evidence.
