Emergency services are at the scene of a dangerous structure incident in Cork

Fire Brigade crew members from Anglesea Street are currently at the scene of a dangerous structure incident in the city centre.

The incident has occurred in the area of Daunts Square off Patrick Street.

It is understood that debris fell from the above the Dealz store sign at the Queen's Old Castle building.

The store is temporarily closed.

Crew members have been at the scene since 12pm today. 

Ambulance crew and Gardaí are also in attendance.

The area is currently closed to traffic.
