A West Cork based whale and dolphin watching tour company has posted incredible footage of a pod of dolphins acting in an "unusual" manner.

Atlantic Whale & Wildlife Tours, located in Courtmacsherry, took to social media to share the awe-inspiring moment in which hundreds of common dolphins were seen leaping out of the water "in a big hurry".

The touring company said they believed the dolphins were on a hunt as they said it was unusual for them to ignore the boat.

The remarkable footage garnered plenty of attention online.

One Twitter user thanked Atlantic Whale & Wildlife Tours for sharing the clip saying:

"A little magic amidst Covid-19 is a very appreciated thing."

In recent weeks, Atlantic Whale & Wildlife Tours have posted a slew of videos to social media showing multiple sightings of whales and dolphins.
