A status yellow rainfall warning for Cork has been extended.

It will now remain in place until 6am on Friday morning.

It is also in place for all other counties in Munster and Leinster.

Met Éireann has warned of further elevated river levels which may result in river flooding.

They have also said that some localised flooding may occur due to some intense and potentially thundery downpours during today (Thursday) and tonight.
