Duo set off from West Cork on 2,500km charity cycle
Joe McCarthy and Seán Gordan have set off on a 20 day charity cycle this morning.

One man who has borrowed his dad’s bike, and another who says he hasn’t owned a bike since he was 11, have set off from West Cork on a 2,500km cycle this morning to raise money for charity.

Joe McCarthy and Seán Gordan plan to undertake a tour of the coast of Ireland over the next four weeks and in doing so aim to raise funds for the West Cork Rapid Response, a voluntary group of doctors and advanced paramedics providing critical care support to emergency services, as well as Pieta House.

The duo finished work at 6pm last night before setting off this morning and are urging people to support the cycle.

“These are two great charities that do brilliant work at both a local and national level. All support no matter how large or small would be greatly appreciated,” Joe and Seán wrote on their Go Fund Me page.
