Woman airlifted to CUH following two car collision in West Cork

A woman has been airlifted to Cork University Hospital, following a two-car collision in West Cork.

It is understood the incident, which occurred around 3pm on Tuesday, took place on the N71.

Two cars collided at Church Cross between Skibbereen and Ballydehob.

A female was assessed as having serious injuries by emergency services which attended the scene and she was airlifted to CUH.

The occupants of the second car were uninjured.
