Flooding on Cork routes this morning, number of roads impassable

Motorists in Cork are being urged to exercise caution on roads, with reports of flooding on a number of routes overnight.
Cork County Council says the R-597-44 is impassable.
This road serves the townlands of Ballyvireen, Kileenleagh, Drombeg, Knockarudane, Kilfinnan, Killacoosane and Rushanes.
The N71 -803, which serves Curraheen, is also impassable.
The N71-758, which was previously impassable, is now passable, it said.
Townlands on the road include Gortroe (Ed Cloonkeen), Dromillihy, Cullane East, Cullane West.
It is reported that sections of the Rosscarbery/Glandore Rd (R597) are impassable.

The flooding follows heavy downpours overnight.
A status yellow rain warning remains in place in Cork this morning until 9am.
