Gardaí rule out foul play in death of Cork man

Gardaí investigating the death of a man whose body was found in Cork City last week say they are satisfied that no foul play took place.

The body of Gary Dineen was discovered at Merchant’s Quay Car Park at 11.30am on August 12th.

Gardaí launched an appeal for information following the discovery.

This morning gardaí said that they now satisfied that no foul play took place.

“Gardaí wish to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter.

“A file will now be prepared for the Coroner,” a statement from An Garda Síochána said. 

Mr Dineen, aged 35, was originally from the north side of Cork city.
