More people are waiting for beds at Cork University Hospital (CUH) this morning than at any other hospital in the country.
According to the latest Trolley Watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, 30 people are waiting for beds at the hospital today.
All of these patients are waiting in the hospital’s emergency department.
Five admitted patients are waiting for beds at the Mercy University Hospital.
Elsewhere, 23 people are waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, while 22 admitted patients are waiting at Mayo General Hospital.
Nationally, 139 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, with 120 patients waiting in emergency departments, while 19 are in wards in hospitals.
